Grayson's First Day at Daycare

So, here we are...November 5th and Grayson is 2 days old getting ready to come home from the hospital.

And now, he's 2 months old and I have to go back to work and Grayson's has to go to daycare. I'm technically starting back Wednesday, but I'm trying to ease Grayson (and myself) into daycare. I needed to go over to my school to get a midterm exam together for this week so I took Grayson to daycare around 10:30am. Ben took Rubygail this morning around 7am...I just didn't think I could handle both of them on Grayson's first day. For any moms who have had to do the daycare thing, you probably understand what I mean. It's much tougher on me than on him. He's my little baby boy!



I remember my first couple of weeks back from maternity leave when I had Rubygail....I was a total wreck! I'm not looking forward to Wednesday...that's when I will be going to school from 6am until 2:30pm. I know Grayson will be fine, but I'm not so sure about me! He did great today. I only let him stay there until 2pm. I just couldn't take it any longer. As soon as we got home, I picked him up out of his carrier and held him for about 30 minutes while he slept...then I figured he'd be more comfortable in his crib. So, although he is in his room, at least I know I could go look at him if I wanted to. This is going to be a rough week, but I know I'll be busy....which will help me keep my mind off of missing him. Don't get me wrong, I miss Rubygail during the day, too, but it's different with the baby. I don't think I've been away from him for more than 3 hours , if even that long. Only 5 months until summer, right?
