Rubygail's 'Duckie' Birthday Party

On October 9th, we had Rubygail's birthday party. We know her 'real' birthday was Sept. 29th, but with Daddy out of town the weekend before and Mommy out of town the weekend after, our next choice was Oct. 9th. For months, I thought we were going to do the Tinkerbell theme, but a few weeks before the invitations were to be mailed, I asked Rubygail once more what kind of party she wanted and she was SET on Duckies! For those that don't know, Rubygail has a blankie that she's slept with since she was a tiny baby with a duck head and loves ducks! So, Suzanne designed awesomely cute invitations (pictured at the beginning of the post: front and back), cupcake toppers, and favor bag tags to go with the theme. All I had to do was print and cut! :)

Rubygail's favorite color is green, so that turned into our accent color. We had a wonderful time and thank goodness Aunt Erin and Maw Maw were around to help get everything ready! Here are some pictures from the super fun day. (Note to self: make sure to take pictures instead of relying on Daddy to get the desired shots.....anyone out there have some pics they can send to me? I don't have many good ones of the birthday girl herself.)
The kids had quite a fun time playing pin the bill on the duck:

Then, after playtime outside, we headed in for cookies, crackers, cupcakes and ice cream!

After eating some yummy 'duckie' food, Rubygail, with Daddy's help, opened her many, many gifts from all of her friends and family.
Then, as Rubygail's friends departed, they were given a favor bag with a duckie whistle/recorder and a little rubber duckie. In the bag was a little card thanking each friend for celebrating with Rubygail!
We had about 15 kids and at least 10 or more adults. It was a packed house, but luckily the weather was nice so the kids could play outside. I think that Rubygail had a WONDERFUL 4th birthday party! :) Now, to start planning for the 5th one! hahaha!
