First Full Week

We've finished up our first full week of school, Rubygail and I. Rubygail LOVES being at 'big' school and, as of yet, is up before I go up to wake her. I wish I could get up that enthusiastically every morning. The pictures have stopped, but I will post some that I took of her last Friday morning, which was her first FULL day of K3. I pick Rubygail up at circle drive, where her teacher walks her out to the car and buckles her in so I don't even have to get out. It's a REALLY small school. Rubygail gets fantastic reports everyday. I think maybe we're doing pretty good jobs as parents. So far, Mrs. Deas (Ruby's teacher) has said that Rubygail is a pleasure to have in her class, she sure is such a sweet pea (because that's what I call her everyday when she hops in the car), and that if she had a room full of Rubygails her job would be a breeze! So, maybe we're doing better than I think.

Grayson has also gotten some great reports and is sleeping in his big boy bed and on a mat at daycare. He's even spending time in the K2 room and will hopefully be in there full time in a month or two. I'll try to snap some pics of him in his big boy bed,but right now, we try to get out as fast as possible to make sure he stays in the bed! Oh, the good reports.....Grayson's teachers say they wish all the children would pick up after themselves and follow directions as well as Grayson. They say it's obvious he's been taught that at home....and I didn't even realize it. I think he's learned a lot from watching Rubygail.

I've also finished up my first full week with students. I'm struggling with Chemistry and Physical Science is going okay. When I pick Rubygail up from circle drive, I have to take her back to my school with me so I can finish up some work, but not much work gets done. I really need to adjust to the new schedule. We get out of school at 2:10pm and I pick Ruby up at 2:50pm. She could do after school care, but I'm trying to save that just for days we have school meetings......it saves us $200 a month for me to keep her after school with me. Grayson is still in the daycare, so we go back and pick him up around 4 or so. There is NO way I could handle them both in my classroom AND get any work done. Maybe my super powers will improve, but I'm not there, yet! :) On the bright side, I have lost 5lbs since the kids came back to school.....

Here are some pics of Ruby from last week and one of Grayson just to keep you entertained!

I know it's been tough, but I am sure you are doing a great job Rebec! Hang in there, and I love the new pictures of the kids.

And, yes, y'all are great parents. Your beautiful children are a testament to that!
